Dr Chester was excellent in all areas of his care, time, understanding and professionalism each time I saw him. The initial consultation was dealt with, with the utmost care; he was clear about the procedure and the operation details. He explained the risks and I left under no pressure to have the treatment carried out; I was given time to think about it all. I then received support with my decision, as it had taken me a long time to decide just to have a consultation. I went to Dr Chester after my husband had been for surgery/procedure with Dr Chester prior to mine.
During my stay he explained and answered my questions, queries and worries with the great understanding he has. He has taken care of my well being to ensure post-operatively I have fully recovered as I had some hardness left in one area of my surgery; a risk I was fully aware of.
He has now, also made sure that my care has been followed up by my new GP and I have been able to have peace of mind by having a post-op scan and mammogram which will be followed up again later this year 2017.
I really can't express how this operation has changed my life for the better and I really don't think I may have gone ahead with my decision to have the procedure had it not been for Dr Chester's kind and caring, profession manner. I would recommend him to anyone who needed surgery, of this nature or in his area of expertise.

I found Mr Chester to be very compassionate during a very traumatic time for me. He showed great patience and explained everything I needed to know whilst reassuring me as best he could. I feel that his care of me both during treatment and throughout the aftercare has been exemplary.

April 2016 I underwent a full tummy tuck, muscle repair and liposuction with Mr Chester. From my very first consultation right through the entire procedure and all my aftercare and advice was fantastic. I couldn't have asked for more. I am absolutely delighted with the end result. My scar and tummy button scarring are neat and I encountered no problems with recovery at all. I cannot recommend Mr Chester highly enough. Superb work

Mr Chester is a consultant plastic surgeon. He qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 1995 with Honours in Pharmacology. He was trained in plastic surgery in the West Midlands. He is on the GMC specialist register for plastic surgery and was awarded the prestigious McGregor medal for achieving the highest mark in the FRCS(Plast.) examination. He has worked in the field of plastic surgery for the last 15 years and was appointed a consultant at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (formerly Selly Oak Hospital) in 2007. He also provides the plastic surgery service for Worcestershire (Kidderminster Hospital and Worcestershire Royal Hospital). He prides himself on his communication skills and involves patients fully in decision-making so that a tailored treatment plan is made. He has recently ran a communication skills course for plastic surgery doctors.
He has a number of specialist interests including: cosmetic breast surgery (enlargement, reduction, uplift, correction of asymmetry), tummy tuck surgery, liposuction, eyelid bag correction, scar revision, pinnaplasty (ear pinning), removal of skin lesions including skin cancers, hand surgery, amputation stump revision.
